HAZMAT stands for hazardous materials. The presence of hazardous materials in the work environment possesses high safety challenges and impacts the health of employees. There are many industries where employees have to handle hazardous materials in their workplace. Every employee runs a risk of exposure to hazardous materials and its level is based on the material they handle/use. It is the responsibility of every employer to train all employees with the information that they require to properly handle hazardous substances, and assess the risks and safe handling procedures to be protected when coming in contact with such materials.
This course covers the essential information that would build awareness among the individuals involved in handling hazardous materials in their day-to-day job activities. This course helps organizations in deriving the safest ways possible for improved safety performance. The learners of the course will be delegated with the safe work practices and important knowledge and skills needed while shipping, transporting, handling, and/or storing hazardous materials.
